Time Capsule
The 2003 is the oldest vintage that we offer at Canon Chaigneau. It is entering its 20th year of bottling, possibly being one of the very first of the modern, extremely hot vintages, remembered for its fiercely hot summer.
In terms of vintage, 2003 was one of the hottest summers ever recorded, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in July and August. Once again, our clayey soils came to the rescue, retaining water and insulating the terroir from excessive heat.
We have very limited stocks of this well-aged nectar, which is drinking perfectly today.
