Our 2022 Grand Vin slowly maturing in 500 litre barrique & in cuve : one of the hottest, driest seasons ever in the region has produced sensational wines, with our terroirs doing an incredible job in protecting the vines from the extreme heat. Intense, concentrated, opulent yet structured, complex, sensual, and mineral wines. We are thrilled and so will you be. Don't miss this opportunity to invest at lowest possible price.

’Cherries, flowers, and chocolate are all over the place here on the nose and palate. The wine is fresh, silky, energetic, and supple on the mid-palate, finishing with more of those ripe, soft, sweet, polished, creamy cherries, plums and lift in the creamy finish.‘ Jeff Leve 92

'A little more serious. More complexity too, with floral notes and more evident minerality accompanying the same spicily-tinged dark berry fruit that one finds in the non-oaked Cuve 8a. The fruit is actually a shade darker – with brambles joining the mulberries and with less loganberry. This is more ample and super-svelte in the mouth, with very refined and gracious tannins. Nicely balanced and, again, finishing cool and fresh.' Colin Hay, 91-93

'Inky purple colour, vibrant and enjoyable black cherry and brambled hedgerow fruit, this has structure and depth and is an enjoyable Lalande that is one to look out for. 27ha wine estate owned by Romik Arconian located on the top of the Néac plateau on good quality clay-limestone soils. No new oak for ageing, using 500l barrels of one or two years old.' Jane Anson 92

‘The 2022 Canon Chaigneau has a powerful bouquet, showing a mixture of red and black fruit, sage and clove. The nose is complex but requires a little more precision. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, well-integrated oak and commendable persistence on the mocha-tinged finish.’ Neal Martin, Vinous, 90-92

'Medium-bodied, juicy and velvety with vivid dark berry character. Fresh, blue-fruited finish.' James Suckling, 91-92

'A step up over the Cuve 8A, the 2022 Château Canon Chaigneau checks in as 96% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec. It's a medium-bodied, supple, nicely balanced Lalande de Pomerol with lots of ripe cherry fruits, some leafy herbs and underbrush nuances, good mid-palate depth, and a silky, elegant mouthfeel. It's impeccably made.' Jeb Dunnuck, 90-92
