The Cuve 8a story

The Cuve 8a story

The philosophy behind Cuve 8a

When we set out to create Cuve 8a, the goal was simple: let the vineyard speak for itself. By eliminating oak aging, we allow the natural complexity of our gravelly clay-limestone soils to shine through, revealing layers of ripe fruit, minerality, and freshness. The result? A wine that’s vibrant, approachable, and uniquely expressive—a true reflection of its vintage.

Why "Cuve 8a"?

The name holds a special meaning for us. Our cellar is divided into two sections, A & B, with our concrete vats numbered accordingly. This cuvée being vinified in the 8A vat, we did not brainstormed too much! But it doesn’t stop there—when we realized that the number 8 and the letter A also echo the name of our daughter, born on the 8th and whose name starts with an A, it felt like fate. Keeping this name felt natural, tying together our family story and the history of the wine.
